All cars need maintenance, and the Volvo is no exception (contrary to what some people may think). When poorly maintained, they will indeed go on for some time, but when well-maintained, the Volvo 140 and 164 should give long and trouble-free service. The following information has been gathered from Volvo manuals, 3rd party manuals, personal experience, fellow club members, discussions on Usenet and various websites.
